The Law of Attraction: How to Attract Visitors to Your Blog

As more blog post writers leap into the blogging pool, it is important to differentiate your blog and keep visitors coming to your site.

With millions of blogs already in circulation on the web, using a few key tips can help you stand out from the crowd.

Try Out Of The Box Ideas

Brightpod recognizes that content is king, but also advises bloggers to come up with unique ways to build readership.

One of the best ways to do this is to establish your expertise and credibility.

Participate in question and answer forums where you take part in online discussions. Quora or question and answer aggregator StackExchange are great places to display your subject matter expertise.

Similarly, you can establish yourself on community forums and message boards.

Invite Guest Bloggers

Viral marketing guru Danny Iny cites community building as an excellent way to drive traffic. Find intriguing blogs and take the time to leave well thought out comments.

Then, invite those bloggers to contribute guest posts on your blog. Their excitement on reaching your audience may prompt them to share with their friends and followers.

Iny says 10-15 well written blog posts could contribute 50 – 100 unique visitors to your blog.

Use Paid Advertising Methods

Entrepreneur.com advises business owners to create a traffic generating campaign to test their sales processes. Although the tips are designed to drive traffic to a business site, they can be used to drive traffic to a business blog as well.

One of the easiest ways to drive traffic is to invest in pay per click search engines. If your budget allows for paid marketing methods, this could be an ideal way to drive visitors to your blog and website.

This method allows you to bid on ranking positions for keywords you select. Only  when visitors search on your selected keywords and click through your site are you charged.

Prices range from five cents to a few dollars per click through.

Update Your Content

Once you invested time and effort (or money) into creating your blog and reaching readers, don’t blow it all by leaving outdated content on your blog.

Take the time to write fresh, and interesting content that appeals to your followers. You can also buy blog posts and articles from experienced writers to ensure you’re always publishing fresh content.
